FAQs
How does NRT Connect… connect?
With an internet connection, NRT Connect connects your equipment’s on-board data collection system to NRT – no operator action is required. We work with our customers to setup alerts and reporting preferences.
How much does it cost?
At NRT we believe that your success is our success, and we want to help you exceed your goals. Just like NRT’s 24/7/365 access to our optical sorting experts, NRT Connect is available at no cost.
Is my equipment compatible?
NRT Connect is compatible and ready-to-go in all equipment shipped after January 2015. If this is you, give us a call to get started.
If your equipment is older, NRT Connect is upgradeable in most of our operating equipment with hardware and/or software changes.
What’s the difference between NRT’s “Remote Access” and NRT Connect?
Remote Access allows NRT Service Team members to remotely connect to a customer’s HMI to address most issues without the expense of an on-site visit. It allows direct access to the equipment controls. NRT Connect, on the other hand, sends outbound reports and communications but does not allow for equipment control.
How do the alerts work?
NRT Connect software allows the sorter to actively monitor operating conditions and key components. If an operating condition moves outside normal operating parameters, NRT Connect posts an action message or service alert on the HMI of the sorter and simultaneously automatically sends an alert to the NRT Service Team. This alerts the NRT Service Team to a potential issue, potentially even before the action message is noticed on the sorter HMI at the customer site. All of this is done automatically without customer involvement, saving you time and profitability.
