EQUIPMENT - SpydIRTM

Overview
The SpydIRTM is an advanced infrared sorting system designed to separate selected polymers from a mixed stream of material.

Application
Recovery and sorting polymers such as HDPE, PET, PS, PP, and PVC from mixed materials in a MRF environment .

Technology
The SpydIRTM sorting system uses proprietary infrared sensing technology and fast highly sensitive algorithms to rapidly identify unique "signatures" of polymers from their infrared spectra. Operator selected polymers are precisely separated at high efficiency and low product loss by NRT's proven mass sort system.

Features

  • High speed identification and selection of specific polymers
  • Throughput rates of up to 10,000 lb/hr (4,545 kg/hr)
  • Proven high accuracy mass sort system with low product loss
  • High reliability with low maintenance requirements
  • Self-cleaning infrared sensing system
  • Rugged infrared sensing system in a flexible footprint module
  • Durable steel construction, stainless steel available
  • Easy-to-use graphic control panel (color touch screen)
  • Factory diagnostics/adjustments via modem or internet connection

Specifications
The basic NRT SpydIRTM consists of a detector module and control panel. The detector module is mounted above a conveyor belt. Different sizes of detector modules are available for various belt widths.
