Overview
The world's first automated process monitoring instrument offering accurate high-speed spectral analysis of plastic flakes.
PVC content and Low Melts content are measured and displayed graphically in real time on an industrialized computer screen with Ethernet capability.
The Online AnalyzerTM is used in the factory production area to continuously monitor flake quality. In addition to its "remote access to data" feature, it also maintains a log of test results.
Application
The NRT On-Line Analyzer is the world's first automated process monitoring instrument offering accurate high-speed spectral analysis of plastic flakes. A typical application is the measurement and reporting (in parts-per-million) of PVC and low melts contaminations in flake produced during the processing of post-consumer PET for recycling.
Technology
The On-Line Analyzer system combines leading edge polymer-specific infrared spectroscopic detection with proprietary high-speed identification algorithms to scan, identify, and characterize polymer flakes. PVC content and Low Melts content are measured and displayed graphically in real time on an industrialized computer screen with Ethernet capability.
