Application
The MultiSort® ES is an advanced color sorting system designed for precision color identifications and sorts of plastic bottles over a wide range of colors, tints, and transparencies. A high-speed sort of colored PET bottles (green, blue, amber, and other colors of various tints) from a clear stream of PET represents a typical application. The system excels at sorting lightly tinted bottles.
Technology
The MultiSort® ES utilizes revolutionary extended spectrum color sensing technology, and allows rapid detection of even slight differences in colors with extraordinary accuracy. This computerized technology, developed and field tested with assistance from the U.S. EPA, uses proprietary high-speed identification algorithms to rapidly scan and sort items by color and transparency. The rugged mass sort system employs precision air jets to eject bottles of a selected color or colors from a conveyed feed-stream of bottles. NRT's proven binary sort approach achieves high precision sorting and low product loss, even at industrial feed-rates. The new MultiSor® ES extended spectrum system consistently produces outstanding and reliable product streams.
