Overview
Combines NRT's MultiSort® IR advanced polymer sorting system with NRT's MultiSort® ES high precision color sorting system into one sorting platform for high accuracy low cost sorting of post-consumer plastic bottles.
Features a small installed footprint, high throughput rates, an advanced easy-to-use touch screen operator interface, and provides modem connection with the factory for fast response diagnostics, adjustments, and upgrades.
Application
The NRT MultiSort® IR/ES Combo System combines NRT's MultiSort® IR advanced polymer sorting system with NRT's MultiSort® ES high precision color sorting system into one sorting platform for high accuracy low cost sorting of post-consumer plastic bottles. The Combo System integrates these two proven technologies into a robust system having a single input feed system, shared enclosure, and integrated electronic controls reducing installed footprint and cost. Typical applications are removal of contaminant polymers such as PVC, PS, and PAN from PET bottles with color separation of the PET bottles, and mixed bale separations such as HDPE and PET bottles into products of PET, natural HDPE, and colored HDPE.
Technology
The NRT MultiSort® IR/ES Combo System uses high-speed infrared detection technology and precision color sensing technology to rapidly identify unique signatures of polymers from their infrared spectra and determine their colors. The identified containers are accurately separated at high efficiency and low product loss by NRT's proven mass sort system. The rugged industrialized system features a small installed footprint, high throughput rates, an advanced easy-to-use touch screen operator interface, and provides remote connection with the factory for fast response diagnostics, adjustments, and upgrades.
